On the morning of December 24th, Zhang Wenbin, deputy director of the Department of Ideological and Political Work of the Ministry of Education accompanied by Xu Zimin, deputy secretary of Jiangsu provincial party committee Education Committee, member of the Party Group of Provincial Education Department, Zhao Yurong, director of Social Science Research and Ideological and Political Education Department, and Jiang Mingmin, cadre of Publiicty and Education Department of Ideological and Political Department of Ministry of Education, came to our university to carry out research on party construction and student work. Leaders of our university, Jin Nengming, Secretary of CPC CPU, Wang Zhenghua, Vice secretary & Vice president of CPC CPU,, Chen Weizhong, member of the Standing Committee & Minister of Propaganda Department of CPC CPU, and heads of some schools such as the Institute of Science and Technology, School of Pharmacy and Mudi Meng Honors College presented the meeting as well.
Deputy Director Zhang Wenbin first came to Sehool of Pharmacy to participate the Ideological and Political Education Course teaching activity of one of the First Model Branchs of Party Construction in China —the Faculty Party Branch of the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and exchanged ideas with the persened teachers on how to better implement ideological and political education. In the Party Building Bulletin of this school, Zhang Shiying, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, reported in detail the achievements made by the College of Pharmacy in nurturing talents as the first batch of National Demonstration Departments for Party Building and the first batch pilot departments of All-round Education comprehensive reform.
Later, Deputy Director Zhang Wenbin went to Mudi Meng Honors College and One-stop student community. He visited the culture education space such as the activity room of the party group, open reading room, tutor’s studio, multi-functional hall, gym, etc. Sun Minjie, vice president of Mudi Meng Honors College, introduced in depth the innovative measures like the ideological and political work of party building in Mudi Meng Honors College, the dual-track mechanism of school and academy, the combination of theory and reality multischool co-construction mode, and the three-stage top-notch talent selection mode.
During this investigation, Zhang Wenbin, Deputy Director, gave guidance to the construction of our academy. He emphasized that the academy should integrate the ideological and political and party building work with the concept of All-round Education into all aspects of the academy, and highlighted the important role of counselors in academy construction. Given that advantages of multi-co-construction and the effectiveness of academy construction should be fully employed, Zhang also pointed out that the key to the “dual-track” management between the school and academy is to clarify students' affiliation, namely, the rights and responsibilities of each party. Secretary Jin Nengming said that Mudi Meng Honors College should highlight the characteristics of Centralized and Decentralized of top-notch talents, and the advantages of Virtuality and Reality of the academy, and unremittingly explore new mode of top-notch innovative talents cultivation and new path of the academy construction with pharmaceutical characteristics, which can be replicated and promoted, in hope that we could lay a solid foundation for building a world-class research university with pharmaceutical characteristics.
