Recently, in order to thoroughly implement the Top-notch Student Cultivation Program 2.0 in Basic Discipline, encourage colleges and universities to actively explore new ideas and new paradigms of top-notch student cultivation, and intensify the training of top-notch students in basic disciplines, the Ministry of Education has conducted the honor awards of Top-notch program 2.0 among 60 colleges and universities, selected as Top-notch Programs 2.0 Bases in Basic disciplines. Two students of our school won the Outstanding Students Award.

        The Outstanding Student Award of the Top-notch Student Cultivation Program 2.0 in Basic Discipline is given to honor students with excellent academic performance and great potential for development or research breakthroughs in basic disciplines. Tao Weiyan, a top-notch student of our school in Class 2016, and Luo Qiming in Class 2017, performed well in the selection and won the Excellent Student Award, which showed the excellent style of the top-notch students of our school in terms of their profound knowledge and diligence.

        The Top-notch Student Cultivation Program 2.0 in Basic Discipline is a national first-class talent cultivation highland set by the Ministry of Education under the background of fully launching the Six Excellence and One Top-notch 2.0 Plan, hoping to construct new engineering, new medicine, new agriculture and new liberal arts. It aims to build an incubator for top-notch talents in basic disciplines and lay a talent foundation for serving the major national strategies and building China into a world leading scientific center. In 2020, our school was selected as one of the bases of the program. Focusing on the theoretical practice of New Medicine  and New Engineering, we will explore the characteristic research path of New Pharmacy, and start a new journey of reforming the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in pharmacy.
